The Leadstar Theological College was founded in August 1/2012 by the Leadstar College of Management and Leadership under the name “faculty of Theology distance with tutor” to meet the need for biblical, theological, and ministerial training in the many evangelical churches and fellowships in Addis Ababa. The Leadstar College of Management and Leadership began the programme in response to the vision of the founder Rev. Gemechis Desta Buba (PhD). Classes were held on the different government schools and also at head office of Leadstar College of Management and Leadership.
In 2016 the name was changed to the “Leadstar Theological College (LTC)” and the first graduation granting a Bachelor of Theology and MA in Christian Leadership and World Mission was held since years back.
LTC began as a faculty with two to three fulltime workers and maximum of four part-time instructors and have about 80 students. There are now ten centers in different cities of the country, administrative and faculty offices, a split-level library, and a chapel. The student body has grown to almost 500. The day-to-day operations of the College are directed by the Director who is advised by an Administrative Council which is composed of members of the College’s administration and faculty.
